Many products are designed to last only a short time but require as much energy to manufacture as better-quality products. Each time we throw away these products we produce more waste.

The increasing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is the reason for the greenhouse effect, which, in turn, causes global warming.

Then we need less energy for heating in the winter.

 

Melting ice in the polar caps is reducing the population of polar bears and penguins. Polar bears now have to swim up to 40 miles between ice floes in order to find food.
